The French magazine Badlon approached ASK LAB to develop a new merchandise concept that could extend the publication’s visual universe beyond the printed page. Instead of producing conventional branded items, we proposed Lost & Found — a fictional archive of objects supposedly lost by the magazine’s readers. The idea was to transform everyday items into narrative fragments, suggesting unseen stories connected to the people who carry the magazine through different cities and moments of their lives.
As part of the project, we designed and produced a series of objects including a knife, a comb, a pack of cigarettes, a set of keys, a passport, and a champagne cork. Each piece was created in the distinctive visual language of Anatoly Shabalin K., treating ordinary items as sculptural artifacts rather than simple props. The objects were photographed as a cohesive set and later translated into graphic prints for tote bags and T-shirts, allowing the fictional collection to circulate as wearable design while maintaining the conceptual identity of the project.
