ASK LAB developed a series of interactive flyers for Bletchley Park, the historic site where Alan Turing and his team worked on breaking the German Enigma code during World War II and where early computing was pioneered.

The concept was inspired by Bletchley Park’s history of recruiting codebreakers through challenging newspaper puzzles and crosswords. We translated this idea into a physical interaction: the flyers were designed so that the information could not be properly read in their unfolded state. To reveal the complete message, the recipient had to fold and assemble the flyer in a specific way, effectively turning it into a small physical puzzle.

The project transforms the act of receiving a flyer into an experience of decoding, directly connecting the communication design with Bletchley Park’s legacy of cryptography, problem-solving, and early computing.
