Firmament invited ASK LAB to develop the visual identity and spatial design for an exhibition hosted inside its Berlin store. Rather than imposing an entirely new environment, we carefully responded to the existing architecture of the space, transforming integrated shoe displays into sculptural pedestals and allowing the store itself to become part of the exhibition. The project was conceived as a cohesive experience where graphics, objects, and interiors would work together to create a dialogue between contemporary art and fashion.
As part of the project, we designed the exhibition poster, developed graphics for the storefront facing one of Berlin’s busiest pedestrian streets, and created a series of printed materials including flyers and signage. Alongside the graphic system, our team produced a collection of sculptures and custom picture frames that introduced a physical dimension to the exhibition while remaining sensitive to the character of the space. Opening during Berlin Art Week, the exhibition attracted both the store’s existing audience and visitors arriving for the city’s annual celebration of contemporary art. By bringing together fashion and art within a retail environment, ASK LAB transformed Firmament into a temporary cultural destination where visual communication, sculpture, and architecture became part of a single narrative.
