ASK LAB partnered with photographer Dima Chyornyy on a campaign for the artist Dolphin, built around backstage photography shot during the video for 387 — a rare, unguarded look at the artist off camera. The images themselves are stripped back: black and white, minimal, almost documentary in their restraint. Rather than let the campaign stay quiet, our team developed a concept of sculptural frames, objects designed to hold and confront the photography rather than simply display it.
Each frame is built in saturated color and ornamental detail, a deliberate collision with the stillness of the images inside. The contrast becomes the concept: austere photography set against expressive, decorative form, turning a straightforward backstage shoot into a campaign with real physical presence. It's art direction that treats the frame as part of the story, not an afterthought, and campaign design that gives a musician's world a shape you can actually stand in front of.
