ASK LAB developed the brand identity for Grekiv Lis, a contemporary residential district in Uman, Ukraine. Conceived as one of the city’s most ambitious new developments, the project combines thoughtful architecture with everyday functionality through barrier-free entrances, concealed air conditioning systems, and an intuitive navigation system. Our task was to create a visual identity that reflected the same clarity and attention to detail found throughout the neighborhood.
Instead of designing a conventional logo, we based the identity on the master plan of Grekiv Lis itself, transforming the layout of the district into its primary graphic symbol. This approach established a direct connection between the brand and the place it represents, making the architecture an integral part of the visual language. ASK LAB developed a comprehensive identity system spanning business cards, stationery, envelopes, keychains, and other branded materials, while also creating a citywide advertising campaign introducing Grekiv Lis to future residents. The result is a branding system that grows directly from the urban fabric of the development, demonstrating how architecture, graphic design, and strategic thinking can shape a memorable identity.
