After six years living in London, Anatoly returned to his hometown of Izhevsk to photograph it from a new perspective. The resulting series captures the city in winter: people in brightly colored down jackets, cars buried under snow, and half-abandoned courtyards and residential spaces.
We selected the strongest photographs from the series and developed them into a small-format editorial book. The publication documents an ordinary, familiar Izhevsk while reflecting the distance that comes from returning to a place after years away.
