ASK LAB created the cover artwork for Slow It Down by Spencer Barnett, with the visual concept developed collaboratively by Anatoly Shabalin K. and Anton Reva. Created through analog mixed media techniques, the project embraces material experimentation and handcrafted image-making to produce a visual identity that feels intimate, tactile, and emotionally resonant.
Rather than relying on conventional digital post-production, the artwork was developed through a series of physical interventions, layering textures, printed imagery, and mixed media processes to create depth and subtle imperfections. Every mark and surface became part of the final composition, allowing the making process to remain visible within the image itself. The result is an album cover that reflects the quiet, introspective atmosphere of Slow It Down, demonstrating ASK LAB’s approach to creating distinctive music artwork where graphic design, analog craftsmanship, and contemporary visual culture intersect.
